I’ve challenged myself to save $10,000 in 10 weeks, and October 12th marks the end of week 6. (For last weeks rundown, click HERE!)
And I’ve become a pretty darn good puzzle solver over the years, but it’s a phase of life where key pieces keep changing shape.
The rational strategy would be to put the amorphous pieces in a box—waiting for them to take their final form. But my brain keeps looking all the places they could end up, and how that placement will impact the final picture.
This past week I kept waiting for more gigs to pop up. But alas, ones that met my minimum requirements never did, resulting in only 1 day of in person work and an 8 hour shift payout for a cancelled event. Not ideal for saving $1,000 a week.
I revved up some SEO work. Did some Frugal Foodies collaborations. Went on daily walks.
The kids had a blast and the party was a success!
I was booked for a super fun 8 hour activation for a toy brand. In light of the Israel/Palestine conflict, they decided it wasn’t appropriate and cancelled it (with pay.)
I revved up my SEO work and made $400 across a few different projects. I snagged a bit of freelance writing.
Food Out: $33
Transport: $34
Groceries: $77.35
Household Items/New Contacts: $264.79
Weekly Cost of Living: $365.69
Spending Total: $774.83
Which means I’ve saved a total of $6092.47 in this challenge.
Despite the challenging week, I’m still on track!
