Koronet Pizza
Saying something is larger than my head is underwhelming given the fact mine is very small. But a slice from Koronet Pizza is about 4 times the size of my noggin, and I’ve never seen anything quite like it!
When I first walked into this Upper West Side pizza joint, my jaw dropped at the gigantic 32” pies that could feed my entire building. Efficient Italian men who were eager to take our order got a bit impatient with my wondrous ogling. But I couldn’t help it. The pizzas were so big!
The visual awe-factor is a 10/10.
The pizza itself is just your typical run-of-the-mill dollar slice quality pizza. Cheese on bread almost always tastes good, and I was happy to eat it. But would I say that Koronet Pizza is home to “NY’s best slice?” Probably not.
. A jumbo slice of cheese is only .75, which is pretty darn good for a niche, trendy food concept.
If you’re in the area, check Koronet Pizza out! But maybe just eat half of it an save room for a little Mama’s Too right down the road.
