5 Cheap Eats in NYC for $10 or Less

Sure, you could drop big $$$ on a meal out in New York City. But there are plenty of outrageously delicious eats to be had that won’t break the bank. I’ve shared 10 delicious eats for less than $5 (check them out HERE and HERE). But what will $10 get you?

Here are 5 cheap eats in NYC for $10 or less that will satisfy your taste buds without hurting your  wallet.

1. Any slice from Nonnas 1977: $5.50-$6.50

Kicking off this list of 5 cheap eats in NYC for $10 or less is Nonnas 1977. This retro pizza shop serves up wicked grandma style slices. The crust is perfectly crunchy,  the ingredients are fresh, and the inventive flavor options just work. For artichoke lovers, try out the Angie, which has a stuffed artichoke and ricotta cheese. Mushroom fans, go with the Lady which is loaded with mushrooms, mozzarella, and white truffle oil. My favorite is the buffalo.

2. Cheeseburger from At The Wallace: $8

At The Wallace is a bar in Hamilton Heights with pinball, giant jenga, killer craft beers, and a classic cheeseburger. It has everything you want in a no-frills burger: a juicy patty, American  cheese, mayo, and pickles all on a brioche bun. It tastes especially great after a couple IPAs…

3. Beef Roll from Joes Steam Rice Rolls: $6

This roll has the perfect melt in your mouth, slightly chewy texture with an ultra flavorful beef filling. Add a dash of chili oil and  you’ve got one tasty, filling,  and cheap meal.

4. BEC from Daily Provisions: $8

Daily Provisions makes a mean, not so lean, bacon, egg, and cheese.  A perfect sesame bun is stuffed with a generous serving of bacon, melted cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg with a delightful yolk pop. It’s messy, loaded with flavor, and super satisfying. (PS the cookies from Daily Provisions are also something special…)

5. French Fries From Bel-Fries: $6.75

These fries are pure perfection. Golden brown on the outside,  soft on the inside, and the  perfect amount of grease and salt. A little pricey, but the  serving size is enough for 2. Get a friend, grab a beer, and dig in! (Check out my French fry crawl HERE)

There you have it! 5 tasty cheap eats in NYC for $10 or less! Go forth, eat good food, and be frugal.
